Benefits of Renting an Orlando Villa

villa-frontIf you have never thought about renting an Orlando Villa, you may be in for a surprise or two. So what are the benefits? I hear you say.

First and probably one of the most important factors is that is can work out a lot cheaper if there are a few people travelling in your party. Say there are 6 travelling, 4 adults and 2 kids, that would mean two hotel rooms and for those hotel rooms to be similar in quality and style to a vacation home it would mean that the rooms would be around $80 - $100 a night or in GBP £55 - £65. Multiply that by 7 and we end up with $560 - $700 multiply that by 2 rooms and that makes $1120 - $1400 or £750 - £935 per week. There are many 3 bedroom villas available for less than that, even 4 bedroom villas, there are many to be had for less.

Next, having 3 bedrooms, the adults get a room each and so do the kids. So imagine the freedom that you could have. In the hotel room scenario, the adults with the kids would have to share a room with them or get them an adjoining room. The kids are asleep in one of the beds and now the adults can’t do much except watch TV, with the volume low, until it is time for them to go to sleep. They can’t very well go to the bar and leave them in the room, or go for a quick swim in the hotel pool. Back at the villa, the adults can have a drink on the pool deck, maybe take a swim in the private, heated pool, knowing the kids are safely tucked up in bed, getting a good night’s sleep.

Having your own fully equipped kitchen is also a big bonus. I know a lot people don’t go on vacation with the intention of cooking meals but it is nice to be able to have a barbecue once or twice or even giving kids the meals that they are more accustomed to, especially when it comes to breakfast. You could order a take-out meal or bring one home with you, eat it off of proper plates and silverware, seated around a dining table and wash up afterwards in the dishwasher. You can’t do that in a hotel room!

mast-bed-1The bedrooms are well furnished and some vacation homes have multiple master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. At the very least there is always one en-suite master bedroom. The master en-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers and bath tubs or bath tubs with showers over.

Many of the twin bedrooms in private villas are themed with kids’ favourite Disney characters etc and are very popular with children. Most villa bedrooms have cable TV, DVD players, hairdryers etc and are all air conditioned.

All vacation homes have a laundry area with both a washer and drier so you can do your washing as you need to and if you wish you can do all your washing before you leave. Why take suitcases of dirty washing home with you. This is a real bonus especially if you have kids, you can just put the washing on when you get in and not have bother about finding washing machines in hotels, looking for mounds of quarters to feed the washers and driers.

You may choose to stay in a villa that has a games room, these generally have pool tables, darts, air hockey, mini basketball and so on but almost all villas do have a games console for the kids.pool-night

Finally, there is the pool deck, your own private haven with pool, some have hot tubs and spa’s too, sun loungers, outdoor table and chairs. Some pool decks have been extended to give more room, some overlook lakes or conservation but one thing you can guarantee is that you will have so much more freedom than a hotel. If you fancy a dip at 6.00am then you can if you wish.

So what are you waiting for? Plan a villa stay on your next trip to Orlando, you won’t regret it.
